By creating an account or using the Sovolink email verification service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These terms apply to all users of the platform, including free-plan users, API consumers, and subscribers on paid plans.
Sovolink provides email address verification via a web dashboard and REST API. The service checks whether an email address is valid, invalid, risky, or undeliverable using DNS lookups, SMTP handshakes, and provider-specific heuristics.
What we do not guarantee: Verification results are probabilistic. An email labelled valid may still bounce. Catch-all domains, temporary SMTP failures, and mailbox-level filtering can affect deliverability in ways verification cannot detect. Sovolink is not liable for bounces, spam placement, or domain damage resulting from sending to verified addresses.
The service is provided for legitimate email list hygiene purposes only.
You may use Sovolink only for lawful email verification. You may not:
- Verify email addresses you do not have a legitimate interest in contacting
- Use the service to build, augment, or resell email lists for spam
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the verification API beyond your plan quota
- Share your API key with unauthorised third parties
- Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, etc.)
- Submit malformed, abusive, or deliberately adversarial data to the API
Violation of these terms will result in immediate account suspension.
Free plan: The Free plan provides 200 verifications per month at no cost. Quota resets on the 1st of each calendar month.
Paid plans: Starter ($29/mo) and Growth ($149/mo) subscriptions are billed monthly via Razorpay. The Scale plan is custom-priced and billed separately.
Non-refundable: All payments are non-refundable unless required by applicable law. Unused monthly quota does not carry over to the next billing period.
Subscription cancellation: Cancel any time from the billing dashboard. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle. After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan.
Failed payments: If a payment fails, your subscription may be suspended. You will receive an email notification. Reinstate your subscription via the billing dashboard within 7 days to avoid data loss.
API usage is subject to the monthly verification quota of your plan. The API enforces per-minute rate limits to prevent abuse. Rate limit headers are returned with each response.
If you exceed your monthly quota, the API returns a 403 Forbidden error until your quota resets or you upgrade your plan.
Your API key is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for all activity under your key. If you suspect your key has been compromised, rotate it immediately from the dashboard.
Email verification is a best-effort process. The accuracy of results depends on factors outside our control, including:
- The mail server's behaviour during SMTP verification
- Whether the domain uses catch-all settings
- Temporary DNS or SMTP outages
- ISP and email provider rate limiting and throttling
Sovolink clearly labels uncertain results as risky or catch-all rather than marking them as valid. However, even results labelled valid may result in delivery failures. The verifier is a tool to reduce bounce risk — it is not a guarantee of successful delivery.
Sovolink accepts no liability for bounce rates, inbox placement, domain reputation damage, or email service account suspensions arising from sending to verified addresses.
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your account is used to send spam or for unlawful purposes
- You attempt to abuse the API or circumvent rate limits
- Your subscription payment repeatedly fails
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@sovolink.com. Upon termination, your verification data will be deleted within 30 days (except for billing records retained for legal purposes).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sovolink's liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid to Sovolink in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Sovolink is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, India.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes by email or in-app notice.
